Professional Background:

Atty. Med. Ayşe Nur TANRIKULU is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Marmara University. She began her legal career with a focus on insurance law and compensation law, gaining significant experience in resolving disputes arising from compulsory and voluntary insurance policies, both within insurance companies and reputable law firms.

​

Following the completion of her mandatory legal internship, TANRIKULU continued her career in the insurance law department of a well-established law firm recognized by The Legal 500. During this period, she worked on disputes involving compulsory and voluntary motor vehicle insurance, employer’s liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice insurance. She developed particular expertise in evaluating actuarial and medical reports, managing settlement processes, handling recourse procedures, applying alternative dispute resolution methods, and conducting litigation.

Since 2020, TANRIKULU has held positions at the headquarters of insurance companies, further strengthening her practical experience in the insurance sector. Her responsibilities included managing the legal processes of claims and litigation files, reserve management, data analysis and reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

She also holds several professional certifications supporting her legal expertise. These include:

• Bodily Injury Compensation Calculations in Traffic Insurance (TSEV)

• Cargo and Liability Insurance (TSEV)

• Actuarial Law Training (TURAVAK)

 

As of 2023, TANRIKULU has been serving as an arbitrator at the Insurance Arbitration Commission, and has started providing legal services primarily to individual clients through her own practice. During this period, she has actively handled criminal law, family law, and tenancy law cases, both through litigation and mediation.

Currently practicing also as a registered mediator, TANRIKULU’s main areas of expertise include Insurance Law, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Family Law and Tenancy Law.
